Microsoft opens its first R&D base in China for MSN
The move came after Microsoft saw setbacks in its online services in China including the resignation of a top executive responsible for the company’s Windows Live unit in China late last year. ‘It’s a clear signal that Microsoft won’t give up its online MSN service in China even though it may have some problems in its local operations ‘ one source who declined to be identified told Reuters.

Monster said its Employment Index which surveys online job sites moved up to 168 points in January from 167 in December and 151 a year earlier. “The labor market is expanding but at a moderated pace from what we saw in the early months of 2005 and 2006 ” said Steve Pogorzelski group president of Monster Worldwide Inc.
